LGBTQIA+ Staff, Faculty & Allies Rendez-Vous
The first ever LGBTQ2I meet up for UBC Okanagan Staff, Faculty, and Allies happens downtown Kelowna at the Wine and Art Bistro. This is an event in UBCO’s Queer Orientation week. This is a simple social gathering to meet your queer(-friendly) colleagues in an informal setting. Have some drinks, rub elbows, find out what exciting projects your colleagues have on the go. Or don’t talk about work at all!

Positive Space Workshop
The Positive Space Campaign is an initiative intended to help make UBC more receptive to and welcoming of its lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans* (transgender, transsexual, trans-identified), two-spirit, queer, questioning, intersex and asexual (LGBT*TQIA+) communities, individuals and issues of sexual and gender diversity on campus. It aims to foster a welcoming atmosphere and inclusive, respectful dialogue on campus for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities by identifying spaces where sexual and gender diversity is supported and valued. EMPOWERRRR Drag Show
EMPOWERRRR is an on campus drag show for all students and community members. It aims to both introduce the art of drag to new audiences and entertain people who already love it! This is an all ages event, however it is recommended for ages 18+. Tickets are available at the door and in advance at the UBCSUO.
