Hélène provides strategic planning and implementation support for organizational change initiatives focused on systems, processes and institutional practices. Their work has focused on initiatives related to creating supportive work and learning environments for trans and non-binary students, faculty and staff, including questions of gender data and gendered records (names, pronouns, etc.). They provided strategic and operational leadership and support to the Trans, Two-Spirit and Gender Diversity Task Force that worked between 2020 and 2022.

Hélène also supports central portfolios to develop and implement EDI objectives in alignment with the StEAR framework, such as the implementation of the Canada Research Chair EDI Action Plan and the development of guidance and infrastructure to support for more accessible and equitable hiring practices.

Hélène holds a PhD in Sociology from UBC.
