Campus Security
UBC Okanagan Campus Security works to ensure the Okanagan campus is a safe place to work, study and reside. Our services include, but are not limited to: incident reporting, first aid, building or room access and Safewalk.
Crisis Lines
Crisis can be caused by events such as physical or emotional injury or illness, thoughts of suicide, harassment or discrimination, worries about your safety, substance misuse, violence, or academic failure. Several crisis line options are available through UBC and across the region.
Office of the Ombudsperson for Students
The Office of the Ombudsperson for Students works with UBC community members to ensure students are treated fairly and can learn, work and live in a fair, equitable and respectful environment.
Sexual Violence and Prevention Office
The Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Office (SVPRO) is a confidential place for those who have been impacted by any form of sexual or gender-based violence, harassment, or harm, regardless of where or when it took place.
UBC Investigations Office
The Investigations Office (IO) responds to formal reports of sexual misconduct and discrimination involving UBC students, faculty, and staff through investigations and alternative resolution processes.
Disability Resource Centre
The Disability Resource Centre (DRC) facilitates disability-related accommodations and programming initiatives to remove barriers for students with disabilities and ongoing medical conditions.
Indigenous Programs & Services
Indigenous Programs & Services provides community and culturally appropriate services and support to First Nation, Métis, and Inuit Students.
International Student Guide
The International Student Advising team at the Global Engagement Office is here to support international students throughout their entire journey at UBCO.
UBC Student Assistance Program
Offered by Aspiria, the UBC Student Assistance Program (SAP) is a free, 24/7 wellness resource for students. Services include personal counselling, life coaching, group programs and more based on your needs.
Counselling & mental health
UBC counsellors provide a space for students to examine and explore behaviors, relationships, feelings, or thoughts which cause concern or challenges in their life.
SUO Peer Support Network (PSN)
The UBCO Peer Support Network (PSN) was founded in 2014 and is a space on campus where students can come and speak with a peer about a challenge, struggle, and/or personal hardship they may be facing.
SUO Advocacy Office
The SUO Advocacy Office provides guidance and assistance to UBC Okanagan undergraduate and graduate students who are experiencing a challenge or engaged in a conflict with their professor, Faculty, or UBC administration.
Spaces for connection, community, and support
SUO Indigenous Peoples Collective (IPC)
We are a collective that creates space for Indigenous students, faculty, and community members to come together in a good way to share a safe space, ideas, events, and laughter.
SUO Pride Resource Center
The Pride Resource Centre (PRC) is a space on campus where 2LGBTQIA+ and Ally students can come and talk about issues and challenges they face on and off-campus.
SUO Sex Positivity Centre (SPC)
The SPC provides a safe space for the conversations that students have always wanted to have but may have been hesitant to start. The centre also provides inclusive peer support and resources on topics, such as sexual health, sexual assault, and sexual expression.
SUO Women’s Resource Centre (WRC)
The WRC provides a safe place on campus for women to come to find a supportive environment and connections to other resources on and off-campus. The WRC annually initiates events, campaigns, and fundraisers in an effort to better the lives of women primarily on campus.
UBC Black Caucus
The mission of the UBC Black Caucus is to promote a greater sense of community, advocate progress and maintain ongoing support for Black students, staff, and faculty at UBC in an effort to enhance anti-racism and cultural diversity within the University, and support the academic mission of the institution.
