Building reciprocal and respectful engagements with Indigenous communities and governments

Many fields within STEM now require us to learn how to build stronger relationships with Indigenous peoples and communities. This can be intimidating for settlers who have never before built these types of relationships.

We hope that this session will help participants deepen and broaden their lens on why they might want to engage with Indigenous peoples, and provide opportunities for participants to sit through some of these discomforts and avoid some common mistakes in order to build reciprocal and respectful engagements.
