Thank you for your assistance in promoting the U Count at UBC census from May 16-27, 2016. The materials below can be utilized for social media and web postings.

Social Media

This zip file folder contains .jpg files for the following social media accounts:

Poster

If you’d like to receive a poster to display in your work area pleas email equity@equity.ubc.ca. This zip file folder contains .PDF files for posters in the following sizes:
1. 8.5″ x 11″ (Letter size)
2. 11″ x 17″ (Tabloid size)

Email Signature File Instructions

Everyone at UBC is encouraged to complete the Employment Equity survey as part of the U Count census. Please show your support for improving equity in the UBC community by including the U Count image in your email signature. Examples of signatures that follow the UBC brand guidelines can be found at: http://brand.ubc.ca/files/2016/01/email_signature2016.pdf

Note: If you have an existing graphic beneath your signature, we recommend that at this time, you replace this graphic with the U Count graphic. However, you can also add the U count graphic beneath any existing image as desired

For Mac Users:

  1. Go to Outlook –> Preferences –> Signatures.
  2. Copy your existing signature
  3. Click on the + sign to create a new signature and name it “U Count.”
  4. In the Signature box on the right, paste your existing signature.
  5. Copy the following hyperlinked U count graphic and paste it below your existing signature (size 1.13″ in height x 3.68″ in width).
  6. Click on the U Count graphic
  7. Then click on Format>Hyperlink (or hit Ctrl+Cmd+K)
  8. Enter a URL: http://msp.ubc.ca
  9. Under Choose default signature, select your newly created U Count Signature in the drop-down menu beside New messages and Replies/forwards
  10. Close the window.
  11. Click on New Email to test that your new default signature is appearing correctly. If it is not, try closing and re-opening Outlook.

For Windows Users:

  1. Go to File –> Options –> Mail –> Signatures
  2. Copy your existing signature in the Edit Signature box.
  3. Select New to create a new signature. Call it “U Count.”
  4. In the Edit Signature box, paste your existing signature.
  5. Copy the following hyperlinked U Count graphic and paste it below your existing signature (size 1.13″ in height x 3.68″ in width).
  6. Under Choose default signature, select your newly created U Count Signature in the drop-down menu beside New messages and Replies/forwards.
  7. Add hyperlink to your U Count graphic. See image:

  8. Click OK twice to close the windows.
  9. Click New Email to test that your new signature is appearing correctly.

Feel free to revert back to your standard email signature after this census has ended and thank you for helping us promote inclusivity and equality in our UBC community!

U Count at UBC Census
Count yourself in! Complete the UBC Employment Equity Survey by May 27.

UBC is conducting a census of its workforce. The answers you provide on the survey give valuable data on who works at UBC. In order for UBC to comply with the Federal Contractors Program and federal employment equity regulations we must conduct a period census of all employees.

Completing the survey is mandatory and the information you provide supports UBC’s employment equity initiatives and priorities.
