Join us for the EDI Fall Learning Series: Equity in Higher Education, a three-part, in-person learning opportunity designed to support the campus community in deepening their understanding of how equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) concepts are reflected in teaching, learning and culture.
Participants will explore . Each session features guest speakers from across the university who will share their experiences and perspectives.
All events are hosted in person on the UBC Okanagan Campus. Space is limited as we aim to keep groups small to enhance meaningful engagement. You are welcomed to bring your lunch. Light refreshments will be provided.

For the first installment of the EDI Fall Learning Series, join us for a conversation on the Universal Design for Learning (UDL). We will discuss what it is, how we can use it to hypothesize about the various barriers that may exist in our learning environments, and how it can guide us to eliminate those barriers. Time and interest permitting, we will focus on the relationship between UDL and the needs of neurodivergent learners specifically.
AI in Technology: People, Planet and Higher Education

Join us for the second installment of the EDI Fall Learning Series for a group discussion about the impact of AI technology on the planet and its people, and the intersections with higher education. Do we have an obligation to teach our campus community about the social and climate impacts of AI? The final aim of our discussion will be to work together to start answering what it means to use AI equitably in a university setting.
